Default Neptuned p28 went bad, now what?

My car out of the blue started running like **** the other day. I finally diagnosed it, and the problem is my ecu. It took a **** on me somehow. I have a p06 that i am using for right now, but it doesn't have vtec. I was wondering what I should do? Do I need to buy another p28 and then send it to have Neptune put on it or what? Or do I just need to get a p28 socketed and then put in the chip? I just wasn't sure with Neptune, if it needs something soldered in the ecu?

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks

you should just need the ecu socketed then the chip put in. i am not 100% sure, but hondata is the only one that has proprietary boards that i am aware of.

Neptune & Neptune RTP simply use a normally socketed/chipped ecu.
All you need to do is order a socketed obd1 vtec ecu.
