Default Help With Turbo on GSR

Hi Everyone. I just got my turbo kit in and need to know what else I need. The kit has manifold, turbo, wastegate, bov, down pipe 3" FMIC Kit(Intercooler and all piping) all flanges gastets, missing link for MAP sensor. and a bunch of other fittings and vacuum lines. I've also installed 3" exhaust, fuel rail bigger injectors, cam gears. I have no a/c., if it matters.

I also want to use hondata s300 management for my GSR. I don't want to run no more then 10psi.

Any help will be great.

how much power are you aiming for?? id highly recommend that you go grab you a walbro 255lph fuel pump. depending on how much power you want 440cc injectors could be too small. either way youd be at the least close to maxing them out.

I really don't know what power output I want, I just want to boost my GSR with no more then 10 Lbs and see where it gets me. I'm not looking to rebuild the bottom end... I just want to run save around 8 to 10 lbs of boost. I can get bigger injectors too I got them free from a friend who totaled his ride.

all reality... I just want to be able to boost my car I don't care what HP I make...Like I said I don't want to have to rebuild the whole motor and boost the hell out of it... from what I've read most gsr that are somewhat stock don't go above 10psi do to the compression of the gsr which I understand. I just want what is needed to complete my build, and to have it run reliable.

I was told so far to get bigger injectors, and fuel pump, in addition to what i have already.

So what else is needed?

Ok.. moron... LISTEN to the guy that wrote "psi don't mean **** if we dunno what turbo ".

10psi on a t25 vs 10psi on a holset turbo is HUGELY different. So saying you want to run a specific psi is a waste of our time trying to HELP YOU. HELP US HELP YOU.

It sounds to me like you just want the noise of the blow off valve. You know you can buy one of those things for your exhaust that just fits in there from ebay. or a turbonator!

Read up on turbos and how they work, don't buy an ebay kit, and come back to us when you're more informed.

Jack *** - as your avitar shows, here is what the kit intales it this is what your looking for... and as I stated before I just want to turbo my gsr with out having detenation. From what I read putting a lot of boost to a hight compression engine (GSR) is bad that is why and how I came up with the 10 psi. I want to run it save and not have to worry about blowing up my engine. How hard is it people, I just need to know what other things I need to buy in order to get this turbo up and running, dynoed and tuned, and continue to run

Here it what I got from the kit.

T3 Manifold
T3/TO4E Turbo
3" Downpipe
Tial 38mm wastegate
Tial 50mm BOV
Intercooler and all piping
Bunch of gaskets, hardware, vacuum, hose clamps ect.

WAS THAT WHAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR?

I've been told to get new fuel pump, injectors, and I have Fuel Management on the way (hondata s300 being socketed right now)

You will definately need atleast a Walboro 255lph fuel pump. I have a walboro 255 mated to RC440cc injectors. They are good for 300whp just to let you know. Also you should get an adjustable fpr and a good liquid filled fuel pressure gauge. I would also get a boost gauge at some point.

Partially true. The size of the turbo plays an enormous role, a big turbo with 10 psi isn't the same as a small turbo with 10 psi. PSI doesn't make a difference, it's how much power you're making:<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Rikter &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Ok.. moron... And yes, that really was. You could have just answered the question without getting so defensive about it. We need certain information to give the correct answer to your question.

After all of that, I don't know how much a T3/T4 turbo will put down on a stock GSR at 10psi so I'm going to wait for someone who does.

A t3/t4 57 trim puts down 290/205 on my bone stock gsr @ 7psi. I can guarantee those injectors arent big enough for 10psi on a t3/t4. They will be on 100% duty cycle.

I'll look in to getting bigger injectors too 300 is a good hp for me but it's not the most inportant I just want it to be reliable.

Thank you all... any more input will be great. I'll put up some pics once I start.

For 300whp, get at least a set of 550cc injectors. I run them at about 74% duty cycle and i'm making 315/216 @ 10psi on my GT3255.
