asr subframe... do i need after market rear lca's?
i got the asr subframe kit with the 22mm sway bar for my eh, now do i need to have after market rear lcas? i believe my stock civic rear lca's are in good condition (the car has over 300,XXX miles on it btw) i upgraded my suspension to tein ss in all four corners. has anyone ran the subframe w/ sway using their stock rear lca's?
TIA
TIA
stock 92-95 civic lca's do not have sway bar mounts since they never came with a rear sway bar. You would need to get integra gsr rear lca's. I forgot if ls ever came with a sway bar...

their 95 civic Si project has a comptech anti-sway bar with a 22mm comptech rear sway bar. they used a refurbish civic rear lcas with Delrin bushings, they also used some adapters to hold the ends of the sway bar. so i think you will be fine with the stock civic rear lca, you just need to find an adapter to hold the sway bar up.

yes, LS tegs did have a rear bar, and yes the lca's fit 92-95 civics exacly the same as the gsr lca's do.

correct. you see some people still have a rear tie bar but its purely for cosmetic purposes. doesnt do any more help and personally i think it looks like theres too much.

The geometry of 92-95 Civic and 94-01 Integra LCA's are the same. The Si hatchback w/ ABS and the 4-door EX sedan also came with rear swaybars.

That is correct. Any additional tie bars (small aluminum sticks) will do nothing since the ASR brace is already like a huge aluminum beam.

I don't know why any kinds of "adapter" would be needed. I currently have an ITR 22mm bar w/ Beaks kit on my Integra w/ stock LCA's and my stock end links. If I were to swap out my Beaks kit for the ASR brace, I'm pretty sure the bar would still fit exactly the same with my stock LCA's and stock end links.

You'll have to change your LCA's (any stock EG Civic or DC Integra LCA's that had rear swaybar, or aftermarket), or get the Suspension Techniques bar that bolts to the bottom bolt through the shock forks with the supplied angle brackets. I don't care for that design, though.
FWIW, the ST bars come with hardware to mount the bar to the subframe that is pretty much exactly like the BSQ kit (a flat plate and a spacer).
*edit* n/m you already have a 22mm bar. So yes you will need to change your current LCA's, but any stock Honda LCA from a 92-95 Civic EX sedan, Si hatch w/ ABS, or any 94-01 non-ITR Integra will work.

I need a bigger pic, I can't tell what that bracket is doing. It's not connected to the lower shock bolt, but rather it looks like it's connected to a sway bar end link hole already in the LCA.
Just change your LCA's and don't worry about any sort of adapters or extra brackets.

the adapter links came from a Whiteline rear anti-roll bar kit. they just flipped them around to accept the Comptech end links. the adapter kit came from austrailia... but im sure some company here in the states make a similar adapter

I have never, ever seen anything like that. And frankly, it doesn't look very safe at all to me. It looks like just 2 pieces of metal with 2 bolts going through each piece, and it merely clamps around the control arm. Looks like it would be very much prone to slipping out of place over time.
for that design, from what I can see in the pics, unless I get more detailed info about them.
OP - don't even worry about trying to find something or using something like that. Just pick up a set of EX, Si, or DC Integra lower control arms and call it a day.

"You’ll also need to devise a way to link the end links to the lower control arms. Here you have a few choices: Find some EX sedan arms; grab some DC2 Integra arms; go with aftermarket arms; or fabricate some adaptors.
In our reading of the SCCA Street Touring rules, going with the adaptors seemed to be most-legal route. These adaptors came from a Whiteline rear anti-roll bar kit; we just flipped them around to accept the Comptech end links."

apparently the adapters hold quite well, the civic went thru a lot of auto-x's and it held in place. but im sure if you cant find a similar adapter, just go with an aftermarket one or ones from a DC or Si/EX

hmm interesting... well I guess it works, but it certainly wouldn't have been my first choice, unless I was limited by class rules like they were.
OP, unless you're trying to adhere to certain racing class rules, I would suggest OEM LCA's. They should be plentiful since aftermarket anodized arms is such a huge fad these days.

has anyone experienced that set up? pros and cons?

You are going to spend more money on adapters than just buying the right lower control arms. Just look through the classifides I bought my GSR LCA's for $40. Just bolt them on and go.
