I have 93 Accord SE giving me transmission problems. When I start the car, the P and D4 lights are lit. No matter which gear I try to go to, D4 light always remains lit. The car is slow to start, I have to manually change gear to 1 or 2 to get it rolling and then as RPMs get higher (about 3000), I manually change it to 3. Nothing happens (status quo from D3, no drop in RPM etc.) when i switch the gear to D4.

I have had the transmission flushed. Some mechanic mentioned it could be DT6 error (solenoid valve?). Another mechanic said, transmission is screwed up and needs to be rebuilt. The third mechanic said the TCM needs to be replaced.

Anybody has any ideas. Please help the stranded in Houston fella.
