Mobil one isn't even a true synthetic. It mediocre at best.

I change mine at 3k religiously with a Honda filter and 10w-30 Mobile 1. Never burned at all, I put a little extra(.05qrt) in to compensate for burnt oil and it was still a little over when I check it at 2k.

i've never had a problem burning mobil 1. or any oil for that matter.

It should say on the oil cap that 10w-30 is recomended. And I would suggest Full synthetic. Some oils are pricey but they are worth the extra money for high revving performance engines do to their stable low and high temeprature viscosity rate, better fuel economy(depends on weight), smooth start at low temprature, improved engine power at high load conditions, and protection.
On the side note, I started using ENEOS 0w-50 Full synthetic, I love it.
