I love your parts selection and what you've chosen to do with the bottom end to make it reliable. I can't wait to see what those cams will do on this motor. BC4's are still my favorite to this day. Piece of advice though...ditch the full-race dowel pins and grab a $20 set of GE ones off of ebay. The FR ones are extremely loose....unless they've corrected that problem already. Other than that, it's a great kit and I've never had any complaints with it, nor have my friends.

Thanks, and for reliability. I've also heard the full-race dowel pins wobble. Golden Eagle is the plan.

Thanks man I hope so. I'll probably take it to T1 Race Development

Its going into a 92' Si hatch. I've thought about switching the Victor X for an ITR. Maybe I'll just try them both out.

Hey BamBam, you said Buddy Club IVs were your favorite cam? So im guessing you've used them.. Would you consider them a mild or wild cam, and how did they idle for you?

I was going to get the BC3 but the BC4 came out and want to know about this. Do i need to upgrade my spring and retainer and PNP to run these cams?

I have run them...and continue to run them. I can't compare them to much any other high end cam...but after tuning, the cams just kept pulling until I let off the gas. Most other dyno graphs on here backup the butt dyno. I tuned my AFR's down perfect and degreed the cams so idle was near 1000 RPM's w/ little to no lumpy exhaust tone.

Springs/retainers: Yes.
PNP: No. But more airflow/velocity=more power (assuming you have the compression to support it)

I think you'd be better with the performer X compared to the victor X. have you seen mikeyspec's comparision?

Build list looks good. Good luck with it, those BC4's should give you a nice power band.

Thanks. Stay tuned for dyno #'s, and good luck w/ your build. Eg Hatch's

Yeah I saw that thread. What a difference. I got the Victor X from a buddy for cheap. I haven't made up my mind on an intake manifold. It's between Victor X / Skunk2 / ITR, but the Victor X should be fine for now

Thank you. Good midrange & top end is what I'm looking for.

With that oem head gasket, will you be a little low on compression to get the most from the bcs4.I know you took some off the head but will you suffer a bit with out bigger compression?

it looks a very well done build, how much research have you done before you started it?

he definetly has enough compression for those cams

nice setup... but it is all going to be up to your bolt-ons to get the true potential out of that motor

By my calculations, he's somewhere around 12:1. I think that's plenty.

Hey guys thanks for all the replys. As far as compression goes, about 12:1 is what I figured out too. Another reason I chose the oem headgasket is to increase my piston to valve clearances. I'm paranoid. I totaly agree that bolt-ons make a huge difference.

I pick my head up from the machine shop tomorrow.
