my uncle in his acura mdx has a nevi system and he took it to a local machaninc to get the check engine code cleared up and what teh guy did is unplug the battery.... witch made the nevigation RESET and now its asking for a CODE

i pulled out the navi thinking there is a code on the back but this is all i see

Open the glove box and look on the outside of the housing. Most put the code or serial number there. If its not there,then you need to get the serial number of the navigation unit under the driver or passenger seat. Wont have the code,but will get you in the door w/ a serial number.

Assuming that the GPS unit is indeed your uncle's, the dealerships include ID tags in the vehicle handbook for the navigation code and cd player. If you absolutely cannot locate this code, please see the dealership and provide the credentials to obtaining your code.; this also applies to the cd player.

The owner on the registration card will need to be present with ID.

 

nvm then ill just tell him to take the car to the dealer because i was looking for the code inside the glove box and the audio booklet that comes with the car and i didnt see anything there i thought i could get the code from here because taking the car to dealer would cost about 150 cnd for him to give me the code
