Not VNT, but like most diesel turbos, it has a huge exhaust housings (looks like a divided T4), plus internal WG for ease of install and fitment.

It features a very efficient T-3 45 trim compressor section & a .63 A/R exhaust housing with a 68 trim stage 1 turbine wheel. ( CAPABLE of SUPPORTING 300 H.P.) These units original applications include the VOLVO 200, 240 and GTL from 81 to 87

That turbo doesn't look like an OEM Volvo turbo, especially from the old turbo bricks from the 80's.

It is an International I6 turbo, model GTA3782, Garrett p/n 751361-0005. It is a journal bearing turbi with a boreless compressor wheel.

Which types of vehicles used this turbo? The only information I could google was linked to a list of diesel turbos.

I believe International Turbo uses the Garrett cartridges with their own in-house housings to fit their applications, hence the vband discharge. Similar to how Precision uses Garrett cores for their lineup of turbos. Can someone confirm?
