Hey everyone, I've recently bought a Alabaster Silver si sedan and I'm also looking to move. One thing I know about all honda 4 cylinders is that everyone wants them, including car thieves. Has anyone heard about k20s being stolen in the NJ/PA/DE area? My bro's b16a2 swap was recently stolen and I'm kinda thinkin i should take some precautionary steps.
I know I'm new but hopefully I can get some feedback!

stealing the motor or the car? i guess theyd have to steal the car to pull the motor out without anyone noticing. our cars come with the immobilizer system, but if a thief really wants it, he'll get it!! just add a aftermarket alarm for the piece of mind if your that worried.
Type X...how do you check if you still have lsd without taking anything apart? Is it hard to take a lsd from the car? Like a month ago I let some people repaint my bumper and let them have it for 3 days...i dont really trust anybody with my car but it had to be done...can you spin the wheel to check it?
lsd, limited slip differential is a set of gears inside your transmission. not that easy to steal. unless they swapped out the whole tranny with another 6speed like a rsx type s or something. you could probably check it by looking for the code on the transmission somewhere.
It wouldn't be worth the time to just steal that, as far as swapping trannies. If someone is going to steal something from you, you arent going to know who it was, but you WILL know what it was.

depends where you are in philly. I am in philly. Our cars have a immobilizer, no key no engine start or fuel. atleast thats what Honda says.
Well it could be that I am a crazy sob that roundhoused some idiot near my car, but eh. you shouldnt have problems. just don't leave anything visible to the naked eye.

Thats what I'm thinkin, Philly and Wilmington DE have high theft rates, esp. Hondas and Toyotas. The Dealership offered me theft protection so i think i might invest in that rather than an alarm system, the key is big enough already.
Get a digital tilt sensor. Someone tries to tow the car then the alarm goes off when it's jacked up. Not sure how good it will work though or if it even deters theft at all.
