you can try autopower they are well known and they make a nice 4 point for a reasonable price and i believe they are located in SD. try this site http://www.autopowerindustries.com/rollcages.asp

Honestly, just a 4 point roll bar setup, I feel is a show part only. If you need or want a cage, you'll need/want mroe then 4 points.

have you seen pictures of cars before that rolled over with just a rollbar? some are very convincing that they saved the driver. i'm a believer in just a rollbar. who wants some cage in their daily driver that is just unsafe.

I've seen flipped cages that were made propper and to endure a flip, not seen them go like those 4 pointers do.

This is talking about civics, on other cars a simple 4 point bar helps a ton, example the miatia.

A homemade 4pt saved my life in a rollover back in 2002.

I think they're allright, but I think a 6pt is better just because of the added stability of the two forward points.

If you want a real race cage, get one made. A 4pt will help to stiffen your chassis, and I think it'd be plenty effective. If it were my car that needed a rollbar I would go with a 6pt.

Well I have no pictures of the rollbar, but I have pictures of the aftermath of a pretty epic rollover:

The car used to be an 89 subaru justy. Rolled after hitting black ice in a turn at about 60-65mph.

As you can see, the car crumpled around the 4pt. Those are the only two pics I have of the car. It was a rudimentary 4 point at best, but it definitely saved my ***.

If you are basically going for show, a 4 point bolt in will be fine, and even provide some rollover protection. If you want to be sure something is going to save your life, get a welded in custom cage made, but be prepared to spend quad digits.

i had an autopower four point bolt in, loved it and think it would have done a great job in a roll over. mine was just a weekend warrior btw. i dont think you need a full cage for a daily, i wouldnt want to hit my head on a steel pipe with no helmet...my 2 cents

autopower is fine for our crx/civics. it just doesnt fit the later door panels since theyre made for 88's without seat belts in the doors. most ppl go 5/6pt harness and race seat anyway at that point.

</TD></TR></TABLE> Very true, but some bars will stand up to their names. Autopower is a great company, with decent CS. In my new car I am searching for the best bar "tons of options". A lot of people frown on rollbars because you are more likely to be rear ended & have you head smash into the bar, then to flip. OP my 4 pt autopower race bar was one of the best investments IMO to my cars handling, safety & look. Happy holidays

everyone search on youtube "miata rollover test" that is scary as hell.

Well that is even less safe. Or do you wear helmets at all times?

When you get in an accident and split your head on those tubes, which are harder than your skull, that run within inches of your head your not going to think that is very safe. And padding them really isn't going to help.

I am tired of this misconception that a roll cage will make you safer. If you wore race helmet and 5-6pt harness then it would be safer but not just to "cruise" around town with stock belts or even loose harness and no helmet.

This is just plain stupidity in a street driven car.

And helmet? that was not an and/or statement. Padding still isn't going to help.

Have Max come over with a 6ft steel pipe and crack you over the head with no helmet and your harness on and see how that feels then multiply that for an accident.

And to be honest with you a properly worn harness is very hard to drive on the street with because you are not suppose to be able to move the core of your body which makes looking left and right very hard thus causing a whole other set of issues.

with metal pipes?

Toad for pres!!

Well said, cages look nifty and all but should be well thought out and all needed things done to them to used. You can't just install even a good cage and be ok, it's like anything else to use it right you need supporting things for it.

forget it. let them win the darwin awards with their pretty blue jdm cages, pvc piping, electrical conduit and floating pool noodles for padding.
