NEW QUESTION
so turns out that the dialbore gauge he was usuing has been dropped and nobody told him .... a few days ago he plastigauged the motor and came out .0007 across the mains .... i think stock is like .0009 so i am wondering if this is to tight or what???
old question
((((on the bottom end i have cp pistons eagle rods and gsr block/crank
i bought acl bearings and when we dial bore clearance the mains there at like .0025
seeing how stock is like .0015 i thought this was a bit loose .... my buddy says it should be fine but will put extra ware on the oil pump)))))

0.0015 is what you really should shoot for. 0.0025 is too much. The service limit is 0.0020 for 1, 2, 4, and 5. The limit is .0024 for #3.

so what bearing do i gotta pick up ... i have acl race bearings right now ... and apparently i have to go with something thicker
yea, you will need thicker bearings. Honda OEM.
Acls are green. Use the link below to determine the appropiate size.

My understanding is that the ACL 'Race' bearings are looser than green. The standard ACL bearings are roughly equivalent to OEM green bearings.
For a daily driven motor 0.0025" is a little too loose.

.0007 would be too tight.
have you had the mains torqued down with all the bearings and the crankshaft in the block. if your buddy has done a couple engines he should be able to spin the crank and tell if it is too tight or too loose.
