Ok i was thinking of doing a color change on my 99 civic hatchback and was just wondering if its better to have a shop take off and put back on the quarter panel windows or just to do it myself. My buddy did hit DC windows himself, but the EK's are differnt. Also the plastic piece thats on the door, does that need to come off or should i just tape it off?

Is there a way to take out the windows himself?

 

not really the window guys have a special cutting tool it's a electric tool that vibrates and cuts the glue off

 

cool thats what i thought. My window on my 96 hatch got busted so it was fairly easy to get the glue off but it was a nightmare to put the window back on.... and sometimes when i would wash the car water would come in.... not a lot, but it still did. The other part i was still uncertain of is that black plastic piece thats on the back window and the black piece on the door. how do those come off.
