Default Can VAFC cause a stall?

Hey guys I'm new here. You will be seeing me around alot. I was on the toyotanation boards and now that I'm buying a Honda... Well you get it.
Anyway,
I am looking at a sick 97 prelude here in atlanta and had a question.
The car has been under a car cover with the battery disconnected for about 3-4 months and when he brought it out today and hooked it up and started it, I revved the engine a couple time in the low 2000 range and the 4th time it stalled. I looked at him funny and he told me that it did it because the 1 it hadnt been run in a while and 2, because the VAFC lost all the settings due to the battery disconnect. Is this likely? We let it run for a while longer and I revved it again through the throttle body to about 5-6k rpm and it worked like a charm. Should I be concerned about it? I am taking it to the mech. on wednesday and if all checks out I'm gonna buy it. Ill take it to the dyno next week to get it tuned bc he hasn't had it tuned since he put in a couple of things. Thanks for your input and let me know if you need more info.
PS. the car has 110K and is an automatic. Thanks
Morgan

Well that makes me feel better. Will the APEXI VAFC learn new basic settings to allow the car to function properly without being dynoed after a battery disconnect?

it shouldnt loose settings when the battery is disconnected tho it could be oil/gas problem

yeah I would say sitting for awhile, old gas etc, car has to warm up and get going again. vafc has its own batt to keep settings, so the only issue with that would be if it isnt tuned well, so if you go have it retuned should fix it.

it might lose settings after a long time of disconnection, but i forget honsetly and no it wont relearn the settings, u having to adn check and make sure the sensors are set properly and stuff, theres a particular setting it has to be on, and i cant remember waht they are for the life of me, maybe (06 + 06 + up arrow) thats jsut a guess though, i havnet touched a vafc in 5yrs.

the air sensor has to be set on the right type, and 6 on the settings, and the throttle is upwards with the values it asks you to set in startup. Thats all I think for it to be set right for baseline with the stock ecu.

ok ill see what the deal is on wednesday. I will drive it pretty aggresively and see if the car is gonna stall again. I think its just been a while. the mech is gonna give it a pretty thorough check. I will assuming its fine take it to the dyno on sat or sun to get it retuned and everything should be hunky-dory. I was thinking of changing the oil and trying to drain all the old gas outta the tank by sucking it dry. do i need to do this or just put new fuel in and let it work its way out.?
