If you are using crower stage 2's you will absolutely need to upgrade your stock valvesprings and retainers or you will have issues. other than that i recommend a b16 waterpump as it has 3 more teeth and spins slower at high rpms. arp rod bolts are a must, and arp headstuds are recommended aswell.
cheers

ya, for now Im trying to just get the basics so I can have a reliable running LS Vtec. So, the B16 waterpump is better then the gsr ones?

Thanks for all your input guys as well. Appreciate it

Don't use the p30 head gasket that golden eagle gives you it will leak a little bit. Use an LS head gasket and bore out the holes for the dowel pins. Also your better off using the p30 pistons they'll give a tad more compression and you wont have to shave the rods.

if your on a budget use the p30's. also if u dont want to take the motor out make sure u get the correct size honda bearings for each rod and have the machine shop resize each rod back to the factory size. that way u can just use the matching bearing color when u reassemble. also if the motor didnt smoke and had good compression #'s just use standard p30's so you dont have to bore or take the motor out

i think that $1500 wont be enough for the parts you have listed unless you have someone whos going to give you a good deal for those parts.

i just finished mine over the labor day weekend. i pretty much did a oem budget lsv build up.

some stuff i used for my conversion which helped me save some money:

GE head studs - LightningMotorsports
ARP rod bolts - LightningMotorsports
GSR water pump kit - ProStreetOnline.com
LSV conversion kit - KGparts.com

If you use the ITR pistons you will have to take it to a shop. The rods may need to be shaved off alittle for the pistons to fit.

Good luck on your project.

Thanks

Also, What I have decided to do is, put B16 Pistons in the block with ARP Rod bolts, and have a stock b16 head for now.

also, P30 pistons = b16?

Also, can anyone else confirm that the LS VTEC GE kit's headgasket is bad?

P30=jdm b16
Pr3=USDM b16

P30's have more compression

u can get cast knock offs on ebay w/rings for cheap. if u want oem go to http://www.hmotorsonline.com they have good prices. if u use the p30's theres no machining. the golden eagle kit gives u a vtec head gasket and most say your suppose to use the ls gasket. i have no personal experience with it but people use them. with the head just make sure its complete with cam caps and girdles. try to get one with the dizzy and vtec solonoid.
