Went to put the release, the door didn't pop. The girl pushed way to hard on it and it feels completely dead (no tension)

How can I get the door open? Where does that cable run?

If pulling on the cable inside the driver area doesn't work, you may have to try to remove the inner panel in the trunk to access it. Your's may be slightly different than the 5th gen; but, may help.
