Dyno tuning w/ VAFC...adjustable FRP needed?
Well, I plan to get my VAFC tuned this week and was told by a local DSM shop(has the dyno) that I would need an adjustable FPR in order to tune appropriately. Is this true?
I was under the impression that with just a Comptech Icebox & JDM DC Header/Carsound cat, the VAFC would be sufficient.
Can anybody shed some light?
Thanks,
Chris

An FPR is a nice thing to have but you'll be OK without it IMHO.
I've noticed VAFCs work better when you can do most of the tuning with other devices (like an FPR) and just make minor corrections to the VAFC. With what you've got done you'll just be making minor corrections anyway though.
