Default Cuage cluster lights broken?

This is a long shot but I searched and found nothing so i thought i'd ask. My '91 si has a fully functional guage cluster, all the instruments/ idiot lights work. The Lights that illuminate the cluster when the headlights come on do not. The car had this problem when i got it/ kid i bought it from said he somehow shorted something when putting the cd player:

In short/ none of the 3 wires going to the dimmer switch have power. Is this the problem (i'm guessing one should have power), and if so which wire needs power? (one has green stripe, one has white stripe, and one has a blue stripe.) I was just going to run a hot wire to which ever one needs it, but i don't want to pick the wrong one and short someting else out.

Thanks for looking/ any ideas are appreciated

Had the same problem but mine was that one of the wires to the light was not contacting so I just put some metal to make it connect. Problem solved.
