i own an 88 honda accord LX. i very recently bought an exedy clutch kit and had this place install it for me. about 3 weeks later i was leaving my house on my lunchbreak and i went backwards to pull out and then forward down the ally. then all of a sudden the car shook alittlebit and i felt something and heard something break and it was suddenly like the clutch blew out. i know i didnt cuz they blow out over time slowly. i dont drive hard and i just had it put in. its not the shift linkage or the clutch adjustment cable does nothing. what do you think. help me out. i appreciate it.

It sounds like something in the clutch assembly or the transmission itself broke. The clutch could have been defective or something in the trans was just ready to go. You could try taking it back to the shop that installed it and have them check it out.

 

did u check to make sure the clutch cable was tightened or still attached at all? this happened in my friend's mustang too...
