Those instructions show the adjustment procedure for the Koni red shocks. Do you also have a sheet showing the **** placed on top, or do you only have those? They may have put the wrong instructions in the box. I can't remember if they have instructions for both types of shocks in the same booklet or what.

As mentioned, those are the instructions to set the internally-adjustable Koni 8040-Specials ("reds") and some older 8041-Sports ("yellows"). I don't believe that Koni is making the internally adjustable 8041-Sports any longer.

If you have an adjuster at the end of the shaft that is turned with the plastic **** tool, then your dampers are externally adjustable.

on the externally adjustable ones are the fronts and backs adjusted the same? why do i keep thinking that you have to jack the car up to adjust the rear struts?

Yes.

You don't.

Some KYB AGX rears (like those for '96-00 Civics) have an adjuster on the side at the bottom of the damper body which may require jacking to access, but no Konis are adjusted this way.
