Default Oil pressure switch

Will a defective, damaged or disconected oil pressure switch cause starting problems ?

are you positive ? Because looking at the wiring diagram it looks like it just connects to the light.

Also saying that the car wouldnt start without that sensor hooked up would be like saying a car wouldnt start without oil wouldnt it ?

AFAIK, the oil pressure switch only connects to the idiot light in the dashboard, so how could it possibly cause starting issues?

Then why are you questioning my answer???

You asked if it would cause starting problems. I said no. Then you asked if I'm sure??? Why are you asking if I'm sure?

ok so its only for the light ? and not an input to the pcm ?

If that oil pressure idiot light comes on, you're close to, if not already, f-ed. The light doesn't come on until oil pressure falls below 7.5 PSI.
