Default base prelude motor in a SH prelude?

ok so i have a SH prelude that im dropping a new motor in, but when i recieved the new motor its the base prelude H22A instead of the H22A4 that was originally in my SH. ive already figured out that the ATTS will def not fit in the base motor, but will the base one fit nicely in the SH???

I plan on doing the same. I think other then emissions and wiring you need to change the trans. Remove the oil filter setup (SH is different). I pretty sure the motor mounts are the same.

A base engine and trans mounts into the SH just fine. A friend of mine runs a base engine in his SH. You obviously have to use a base transmission.

Camshaft? No. You have to use the intermediate shaft from the base, which makes sense because you have to use a base trans with the base block.

I think you just got a 4th gen Prelude motor. I have a 97 base model with an H22A4.

H22A engines are typically the JDM engines, which are dimensionally the same as the base block (i.e. use a base trans and intermediate shaft).
