Hi, I'm new to the site and my name is devon. I'm in the US Navy and im currently here in sardina Italy. The car I currently have is a 99 honda civic ex with ram air intake and catback exhaust. But the car has pretty much became the wifes car and when my ship gets back to the states this november I
will have 10k to spend on the car so im hoping to pick up a crx for under 3k and hoping to do the b16 swap. I was hoping if you guys could tell me some stuff I want to look at when getting a crx, like whats bad milage and were rust might be, thanks for any input.

 

There is no bad mileage for a CRX IMO. Look for rust in the quarters, and on the roof. Also look for rust in the backside of the fender well. You should find them for under 3k all day long

 

Also check the channels on the near the hatch. They form small cracks and leek water into the rear interior . Speaking of rear interior, try to find one with full rear interior. Replacement cargo tray and covers can hard to find (for a good price). Good luck rex hunting.

 

I think you could find one with a swap already for 3k. I just bought a 90 Si with a b16 that needs some little things for 1500.
