REALLY? THE GUY THAT SOLD ME THE CAR SAID HE INSTALLED A VTEC THROTTLEBODY THAT ACTIVATES AT 5200RPM, ITS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE TRANSFORMERS AND IT OPENS A FEW VENTS TO SUCK IN EXTRA AIR. HE SAID THAT IT WAS WORTH 1500$ AND I GOT HIM TO JUST THROW IT IN! LOL HAHAHAA

But on a serious note... how would a stock OBD1 ECU handle a slightly larger throttle body? Is it absolutely necessary to get a tune after installation? Would you see any gains without the tune?

It will improve throttle response because you have to push the pedal less to have a larger opening, but it won't do much other than that. Perhaps a bit more power up high...
