i think thats a myth
in a pressure system it doesn't matter where the valve is
i could maybe see it being an issue in higher hp builds like above 300-350
the higher rate volume and temps might affect flow factors.
does it matter where you turn a faucet on in your house...?
you still have the same water pressure
its pretty much determined by the pump.
and it doesn't matter much if you are far or near...
or on the main or tributary line...like on a town water/gas system.
pressure is pressure
in a pressure system it doesn't matter where the valve is
