that big plastic piece right behind the steering wheel, how do i take it off? i unscrewed 2-3 screws and its really loose but it looks like its cliped together? i dont want to pull it apart too hard and break it.

 

Just pull it apart, it won't break.

 

You have to squeeze it slightly along the sides as you are pulling it, be gentle and you will get it, i mean you might need to use a little muscle but not too much to take them off...

 

Wait are you talking about the upper and lower steering wheel covers??

 

the previous owner of the vehicle installed a alarm and they unplugged it for some odd reason? im checking out the wiring and taking off the old alarm and installing a new one soon. so im taking apart the car piece by piece and cleaning out the whole car and getting it repainted in 4-5 months. it'll be easier for the ppl who paint the car and save them trouble.
