B16a or B20b into my 97 hatch?
my engine finally blew after 3 weeks of heavy abuse. ive had experience in the past with a boosted b16a, but now, since my budget is low, im planning on going all motor. which motor do you guys recommend, b16a or b20? which motor has a stronger bottom end? i need an all around, reliable motor, that can take some abuse.

Stronger bottom end = b20b
All around, reliable motor = Both
I would personally get the B20b, but then you need to source a tranny, ecu, and other misc peices.
I just blew my B16a last week
Instead of buying another one I ordered a JDM b20
I loved my b16 but no matter how many parts I installed It never had ***** on the low end.

thanks for the replies, i however , decided to swap in a stock d16 because i will be going back to my roots ( seems to be a popular phrase now) and will be selling my car to purchase an mkiv.
with that year hatch i would have to say b20.... definately need the torque
if you do the CRVtec make sure to have it built right or build it right yourself and get higher compression pistons
