When riding on the street how often do you guys ride fully geared up? Thats boots, leathers, gloves, helmet, etc.

I've mostly been just commuting to work and back and i've just been wearing a jacket, gloves, and a helmet. If i'm just going out to ride for riding's sake i always wear full gear.
If i have a destination in mind i'll usually add boots to the commuting list.

i wear my a* smx suit, sidi vertigo 2 air boots, a* gp plus gloves, and dainese back protector everytime i ride. i use a psycleskins dampened in water if it's hot outside and it keeps me nice and cool in up to 100+ degree weather. keeps me warmer in the morning as well.

I wore jacket, gauntlet style gloves, helmet, boots, and just jeans (not any more) and im glad I did. A little lowside in a corner because of gravel could have been alot worse if it wasnt for my jacket

 

I HAVE to wear gear all the time. Not only for my safety, but the naval base won't allow in without being fully geared. (helmet, jacket, gloves, boots.)

 

I always wear a jacket if I'm not just wearing a t-shirt.

Pants, leather jacket, gloves and Helmet. all the time.

When canyon riding I go with my icon vest underneath my jacket.

I still cannot find any damn leather pants to fit my big *** thighs

until then I will use jeans

 

helmet, jacket, gloves, boots (but not full race boots) jeans with Icon field leg armour under them. Or sometimes joe Rockert over pants.

I need some new gloves though. Non vented. 9deg in the moring doing 90mph, your hands get cold FASSSSTTT

 

Commuting to work: everything but leather pants, instead jeans + Icon field armor.

Spirited riding: everything...

I don't know anyone that wears full leathers all the time.

I only fully gear up when I'm going to go canyon carving. Otherwise its always jeans, jacket, gloves, and lid. Even when its hot, its not that bad wearing a leather jacket. I don't know why people think its so cool to ride w/ a t-shirt. Personally I think I look better w/ a jacket on.

i guess once you crash without leathers, you'll understand why you should be covered head to toe everytime you ride... until then - guess you have to learn the lesson the hard way.
