searched, del sol?
i searched and i know this can be done and i realize that a lot of people hate it. But does anyone know what is exactly involved in putting a DC front end on to a Del Sol. i know it probably doesn't bolt right on but how hard is it? any one had experience with it before?
I havent done one personally but I belive you would need all the front end body panels and a radiator support. The hardest part would be getting the rad support taken offf and the new one installed.I also dont know if the fender to door gap/clearance will be a problem?
The few that I have seen were fiberglass fenders. As its much easier to make the fenders out of fiberglass then metal. You basically need the del sol fender for the part of the door and the dc front part. Then it's all ghetto from there on.
IMO it really doesnt flow with the car good at all

I thought the hardest part would be makeing a smooth transition from the del sol fender to the dc. I don't know much, but i'm pretty sure ppl who have done it have said it costs plenty for all the fab work.

aww my old car...i love this car....
me and my brother put alot of time and money into this car...and this riiight before i sold it....haha the pink wheels were funny too...
Tim of course you hated it....only b/c it was alway better then your Del hahah
where did you steal this pic from btw too?
since posting pics won't get the job done...i can explain the process
cut off your exsisting front end where the end of your headlights are on the frame rail...weld up the new teg front which lines up pretty nicely...i had no problems there
you have to cut and weld a del fender and teg front peice of a fender together...and it has to be match perfectly otherwise it won't line up for ****...
everything goes together pretty easily...its just being patient and making sure everything lines up....i owned that car for 4 years...and yeah i started to hate it...but the day i got that car....it put a smile on my face from day 1...some will say its rice...or stupid...but it got looks everywhere...
IF you have any other questions just P.M me....Honda-tech despises stuff like this...but to each there own...

it wouldn't cost you anymore then a JDM front for a teg would cost...trust me on this...and mine was nicely done

you obviously didn't. because this topic has been covered too many times. you need to do custom work and it ends up looking like ***. (with teh exception of the racecar del sol with teh JDM frontend

thank CW-R hatchback, thats the answer i needed. the reason i ask is i have a teg now but i have to get rid of it and may be able to get my hands on a sol and i thought the usdm front end was something different and actully a good use of a usdm. If i do get to do it ill definitely pm you.
