Ceramic? Are you referring to a clutch with cerametallic friction material? If so, some break in couldn't hurt, but I didn't give mine more than 5 miles worth of "break in" since it was on my track car, which I can't drive on the street. I use a CC 6 puck cerametallic clutch and chromoly flywheel. I haven't any had problems with the clutch.

BTW, I have a complete Euro R manifold, brand new, never installed that I might be interested in selling.

yes its a 6 puck ceramic that is technically still "street legal" but will basically only be driven on the street to events and things like that.

O and btw sorry i dont need a manifold anymore i should prolly remove it from my sig. thanks anyway

Bastard guy! No problem. I'm waffling about selling the bars since I planned on going to HondaChallenge H1, but the Prelude looks like it'll be much more competitive in H2.

You'll be fine with minimal break in, but if you're worried, give it a few hundred miles. Like I said, I broke mine in with some dyno tuning, and a single 20 minute session at TWS. After that, I drove the car as hard as I normally do.

I never broke in my 6 puck ACT. dropped it in hard once the engine warmed up. ACT says there race clutches have little to no break in period. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's an organic disk.

Kevlar friction materials also require a very careful break in.

Most people don't understand the meaning of this break in period.

They want you to let the clutch temperature cycle a bunch, let it keep expanding/contracting and fully get the friction disk to mate with the pressure plate surface and the flywheel. This doesn't mean you can't floor it. You just don't want to let it slip at any good amount of rpm, this includes shifting hard and taking off hard.

They say don't do it simply because it increases the risk of making the clutch slip. If you're not gonna let it slip, then go ahead and have some fun.
