Recovering dash - 95 Del Sol

Recovering dash - 95 Del Sol
Planning on taking off my door panels and dash and recovering them, since the pleather is looking a little beat up.
What do you do with the passenger side airbag? Can it be recovered? Should I just take it out completely, and if so, how do you fill the hole it leaves?
I looked at some of the recovering howtos, but I can't find anything that addresses the airbags.

Oh, well, sure if you want to do it the EASY way....
But if I DID want to recover my....oh, fuggit. I've already shown my n00b *** again...
