Header with 3in collector?

I have a quick question, would a header with a 3in outlet works with a test pipe with a 2.5in outlet? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Why do you need a 3" collector?

found a highend header for a very good price but it has a 3in collector so that's why i was wondering if i can use this still or would i need to modified the collector size?

You should modifiy the collector to fit your 2.5" test pipe.
