to number 1051. Its sick. I try try try to put this thing in ther garage and leave it to save money but no, not possible. Last night i spent my last few dollars on a Mugen gen 1 spoiler for the thing. it was a deal i couldnt pass up. but i didnt really HAVE to have the wing. then earlier yesterday i found myself on the phone with dominic from Endless/zeal talking about a complete overhaul of my S6's. then rationalizing the cost and how much i would have into them (its worth it haha). I just picked up a mint CRV for daily duty so i dont have to rely on the itr to get me everywhere and my gears have just been cranking about how bad i would like to become competetive with this car. Two weeks ago, i was on the phone with darton getting a price quote for some 84mm sleeves and a new balanced and blueprinted rotating assembly.
its sick i tell you. i need to get a better job..,...

does under 25,000 a year for a management postion which the employee is one of the "go to guys" and has put his 3 man department FIRSt in the nation (1500 centers) in revanue 3 times this year, sound completely unreasonable? this is my first real world job and i honestly think this compensation is poor at best. anyone have any experience or wisdom they would liketo share>?

 

Yeah, this addiction has happened to me too. my R sits in the garage with new parts being added weekly and I can't get enough! By the way, I am the low man on the totem pole at my work and have been there only a year... I make $40k a year! find a new job!

Under 25k for a management position? That's **** poor, definitely get a new job! I've recently gotten addicted as well as I have purchased a Toda header, T1R exhaust, Car Sound Cat, JIC FLTA2 Coilovers, and tires just in the last month or so.....I do make a lot more than 25k but I'm also married, have a mortgage payment, and a son so most of my money is going other places but slowly and surely I will do stuff to it.

Let me tell you how much I love these cars:

My dream, is to collect Type-Rs. As simple as it may sound, it's my dream, so **** off.

There is no other car out there, like a Type-R. There may be faster, there may be nicer looking, there may be better handling cars... But for the bang for the buck factor, and the absolute harmony of the car, you cannot beat it.

Talk about addicting... a little bit before this years Expo I was side tracked with helping my buddy Jason Ayres train for a WEC (UFC) fight for about 7 months, when everything was done and over with and he won his fight we went out and celebrated. The same night coming home I really didn't have anything to think about it was kind of weird, so I decided to hop on HT for some reason after not being on here for about... 7 months... first thing that catches my eye is the stickied Expo 7 thread and thought to myself, "OH **** WTF"... (this was about a week before Expo) so immediately started PMing and calling friends to try and arrange getting there some way or another (Thanks Mugen Mike and Clayton Goldsmith). Ever since and even at Expo I opted to redo pretty much every bit of the suspension, full Mugen bushing kit, front Mugen sway bar, rear ASR sway bar, new rear LCAs, new front and rear Mugen strut bars, new PICR3 coilovers, everything, and since then another $5000 or so in new Mugen bucket seat and rails, Mugen cluster, a couple Mugen steering wheels and quite a bit of other **** I don't really need but want. It is indeed an addiction, but to me it's all worth it in the end.

 

the addiction is getting on this forum and seeing what other people are doing because I've been on here for 185 days now and before I had ever been on here all I had was an intake so you guys are the crack that makes me addicted and I love it

o ya, I'm addicted. everyday my gf reminds me of how much more time and money I spend on the r then her. but I guess I'm a feen!! after every purchase I'm thinking of my next.

I've also started a couple other honda projects that I've aquired threw work (mechanic at honda dealer, about 60k a year after 5 years experience, get a new job dude) I've got a 91 prelude si getting a rebuild and an 86 si civic getting a build, gotta love the project cars.

 

Yeah, I am an addict too. I am addicted to secks. I always have to tell the ladies that "God gave it to you for nothin', you should give it to me for nothin'. I make more than 25k/year but I just can't see spending money on the ladies. I'd rather spend it on the car.
