Ok not sure if this goes here but i have a few questions ....

I have been wanting an s2000 for a while now. I spotted this really good deal on an 01 s2000. Here is the run down.

Clean Title... 2001
red w/ black interior ( very clean interior )
156k miles... ( big turn off )

Crack in windshield
Tear in the Top
CEL for o2
Needed 4 new tires & Alignment
Front bumper had some paint chips, etc...

* I drove it and it didn't seem to be very fast at all.... It was bone stock .... I was trying to convince myself to buy and that an 8500$ s2000 w/ a clean title never comes around ....

Do you guys think I screwed up ? I think if it was any color other than red, i would have jumped on it

It already sold... he told me that he would take 8300$ ... I kinda felt bad for passing on it b/c it seemed like a deal but I didn't want to buy something that i have been really wanting and have to curse at it on the daily

 

wow where? i'd buy that in a heartbeat. all the cheap s2000's i see are silverstone.

honestly as long the motor is healthy then, the other stuff seem trivial.

crack/tear/chips are cosmetic and would be expected of a car with that many miles.

with any car, i'd upgrade the tires anyaws.

yea just especially w/ an s2k, you have to figure it was driven pretty hard at some point...

 

driven hard at some point, maybe.

156k miles for a 2001 sounds like it has mostly highway miles.

The O2 Sensor CEL could have been (and probably is) why the car felt sluggish. I bet it would have been pretty zippy had there been a 100% working O2 sensor in there.

damn... i just traded in my 00 berlina ap1 for a 07 silverstone and they gave me $8k:

I took off all the addons and traded it in bone stock but I woulda taken $8500 if you were local

I dont mind rocking a civic or teg w/ 130-160k ... but i felt like an s2k w/ that many miles was just 2 much....

Thats the cheapest s2000 ive ever heard of (except salvage of course)

even if the motor was bad it would be a steal. But always trust your gut.

X2, Deals like that are Very Rare since it a clean title car....
