Default Rocket cams ecu chip

I don't understand

is it just a base map or custom map.

so does that mean if i were to get there whole valvetrain package , that i can just install it and pop in the chip and i am ready to go?

or do i still need to get the car tuned???

it's a custom map and base map.
anything changed from OEM honda maps are custom. Any maps that are untuned on your setup are base maps.
ALWAYS have your car tuned when changing something like this.

Fuel maps are optimized for proper running of the hotter primaries and for proper transition into vtec.

Because even "identical" set-ups vary due to differences in the fuel delivery system or cam phasing it is always best to tune for best results but the chip provides drivability and power that cannot be achieved using stock honda maps or even generic mugen style maps.

The map also gives you a really good start for tuning.
