Well my brother purchased these from a shop here in Portland. So first off, I have no idea if these are Skunk 2 Stage 2 cams. He has dealt with them before no problem, but I myself usually deal direct. I personally deal with Rocket Motorsports, but my brother being the cumpulsive buyer he is would not listen to me and/or ask me for help with his cam selection and install. I am simply posting this to get a resolution to this problem for him because I have never seen this before, and a lot of my friends run there cams, and have never experienced this issue.
So here are the pics of the Exhaust cam that broke. The end just snapped off during his install. I personally have never broken a cam, even with a small impact gun. I have taken the cam gear on and off many of times and never had this issue. Also are there any markings I should be looking for to verify that this is a skunk 2 cam. Will Skunk 2 replace this cam or is my little brother just out of luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.

One of the marks a Stage 2 cam is suppose to have the M> I am pretty sure these are Skunk2 cams, but it is always good to have a few opinions.

That's what I thought. With that said, has anyone ever experienced this same issue? Seems to me, this was a bad core, or whatever you'd like to call it.

I know you have had your share of experince with these cams, but my brother ain't that strong LOL. The guy doesn't even own air tools LOL. I have heard skunk has a great warranty and usually is a great help. Since I now know these are Skunk2 cams then I can try to contact them directly. I'm sorry, but I've seen people take off cam gears on and off with a snap on impact gun many times before. For this to break like this I better have a 1/2" impact or larger haha.

Taken straight from the Skunk2 Instructions....
"• DO NOT USE IMPACT GUN TO TORQUE CAM GEAR TO CAMSHAFT. (Use red locktight and torque to 30ft lbs.)"

First off, I didn't install them. And I don't even have a impact gun here LOL. I'm just stating from what I have seen, it should not break so easily. I am just saying I have seen people use impact guns with no issues before. Even if that is not recommended, it's just plain fact I have seen it done many times.
