Adding an intake will help your gas mileage, as will anything that helps your engine breathe better, as long as your driving habbits stay normal. Also make sure your spark plugs are in good shape and your car is getting the propper tune ups according to the mileage. If your driving 80 miles a day and your on the highway alot, use the cruise control, that will also help save gas.

Also, having your car properly aligned will help your gas mileage as well. Because the car will be fighting itself less to move. if you're really worried about gas, sell it and scoop up a Fit.

I just got 30 combined on my last tank. Granted is a 2.2 L, 4.

Try keeping your tires inflated to about 4-5lbs higher than what's listed on your door jamb, that should help.

examine the spark plugs, usually that will tell you how the car is running the majority of the time.
