Stock block b16a.......What pistons P30 or Pr3????
Even though i have been messing with hondas for many years certain items confuse me because i hear two diffrent responses. Does a Jdm B16a come with pr3 or p30 pistons?? As far as i know it is stock block! The production year is 89.

Good point. He said his was an 89 engine so they could very well be PR3.

Are the PR3s perfectly compatible with the B18B Connecting rods like the P30s are (as apposed to the 1mm Milling ITR/CTR pistons need to fit on the LS Rods)?

exactly. and the hp rating for the SIR II was like 170ps vs 160 ps for the I. The improvements for the II were .2 compression increase, larger intake cam, and tb and intake manifold. and i think a better exhaust mani. the usdm shared a few of the mods but not many on late model b16s.
