I just used a trans calculator though. I pull until 7500 rpm. At that engine speed in second gear I would be at 105 mph

 

if the old case just broke why not swap all the internals into the 4sp case?

 

It wouldn't go in to 5th or reverse sometimes. It was an intermittent problem. There is something internally wrong with it. I was just trying to ride it out until winter, and then it decided to crack and **** oil all over the place.

 

just use it as a temp until you get another 5 speed.

 

I don't feel like pulling it out twice. I have a daily driver

 

oh, if you have a daily driver..... just park it in the garage until you get the trans you want.
