Default 5th gen Innovative Motor Mounts

I have a 00 Prelude Base
Has anyone used them yet? How are they? Any bad vibration?

Also, I heard it will eliminate the oem front motor mount. Is that true?

Last, can someone link me if the above statement is true. My thread on the block for the front mount has some how stripped. I'd rather just replace the three so I dont have to rethread it. Lemme know guys.

p.s. is search not working? I swore there was a topic on innovative mounts but it keeps telling me no results found

keep in mind when you get these after-market mounts, the urethane inserts are USUALLY stiffer as these are usually used for higher horse power engines. Their goal is to reduce/eliminate torque movement. The down side is that the engine vibration gets transfers to the chassis which will create more vibration in the car.

If you want something that will be smooth you will want the OEM replacement.

Oh and I dont know about the fact that it will eliminate the front mount. Innovative makes their own front mount and their "motor mount set" includes the front, front driver and the rear. It doesn't include the tranny mount if that is what you are referring to.

ok...let me clear some things up

first, i want aftermarket mounts not inserts.

second, the holes on the block for the front motor mount bolts are stripped on my car. So this is why I am looking for a way to eliminate the front.

Third, I'm not worried about vibration...but from what i understand the innovative mounts cause minimal vibration with minimal wheel hop.

fourth, they sell it with the tranny mount left mount and rear mount, NO the front mounts. so yes the tranny mount is included

you are right
im using the es inserts right now and i have a lot of vibrations. im going to go with the innovative mounts because theres little to no vibrations from what i'v heard and reduces wheel hop even more.

oops, forgot to update.

well, i ordered them and got them in. the vibration is really light while idling but when the a/c is turned on there is a lot of vibration. I'm not to sure how the inserts are but with these mounts with the a/c on you can feel vibration through out the whole car. Things started to rattle so I removed the rear mount and left the two sides. Vibration is now gone. All in all, they are some excellent mounts if you want to eliminate the front mount and reduce wheel hop. But if your expecting little to no vibration, than they are not for you. i did it because the bolts on my front mount that mount to the engine block broke and i didn't feel like drilling them out. now i have 1 out of 3 holes fixed so i'm just using 1 at the moment.
