Default brighter HID output?

Please excuse if this has been covered, but i've searched. Im planning on doing a retrofit soon on my 94 integra. I have been reading up on the maxima e55 projectors. Their is a write on team-integra on how to retrofit them saying that they fit the easiest. With that said, the down side to them(or so ive read) is that their output is not as good as s2000 projectors or audi projectors. Then I remeber reading a retrofit article on Honda Tuning magazine. They cut some piece off of the projector to in crease the output. Has anyone done this before or know a way to get the cutoff line to look real sharp? I tried goin on hidplanet for info, but to be honest I can't navigate through that site

do you mean a wider foreground lighting? The best bet is the s2k for your application. Unless if it was a 96+ civic, you could go with ls430 retrofit; it's much wider than s2k but large as hell.

Or are you talking about voltage? you can do a 24v hack to your ballast. depending on what ballast you have. It will cut down the life if the ballast and bulb IIRC.

can't afford s2k projectors, just get tsx, almost as good but half the price.

im trying to get a brighter cutoff line. The HIds have that blue cutoff line. I read that if you remove something, the cutoff becomes more blue and sharper

I believe the "removing something" you are talking about is called color modding. For more info contact use -bionic- . He runs customlightz.com and has answered all my questions for me
