D-series ef civic power steering question?
here is the problem my 1990 civic right now has a b16a with the power steering rack still in there but not connected. Now what i am going to do is take the sohc zc out of my wrecked crx and put it in place of the b16a (i am doing this for money purposes because i owe my parents cash and this seems like the smartest route) so i will be selling the b16a and tranny. I also have a power steering pump that came with my sohc zc when i bought it. But anyways i know that b-series trannies have the power steering lines that go in by the vss and the d-series trannies do not.
So my question for you guys is how did d-series 88-91 civics run the power steering, was it even connected to the tranny by the vss or did it just go straight to the rack and pinion? I still have the manual rack out of my crx, is it worth it to have power steering or should i just swap the manuanl rack over to the civic (will it work and if so how hard is it to do?)
Thanks guys i really appreciate the help
