does anybody know if the jdm/usdm syncros are the same?
yes ive searched, and it looks like the trannys are different, but nothing about syncros.
has anybody compared the two side by side?

large spline.
here it is, i,ve already had usdm syncros put in my tranny which i just remembered, is jdm.
the shop that installed it has no idea about hondas, but i imagine they would notice if it was completly different or sized wrong.
so it shifts fines but finding a gear is a bit harder, notchy. a quaife lsd was installed but no new clutch, honda mtf for oil.
Do new syncro's act kinda notchy when shifting while stoped.
the shop said the syncros need to be rounded off, by driving it for a week or so.
its shifting fine, but when i'm stoped finding first gear is way harded than it use to be

okay, i had the shop call the gearspeed tranny shop to ask them, and they said the bearings and syncros are the same.
I 'am very relieved. shifting is getting a little better. the quaife is awesome compared to the pegleg diff.

yes they are the same, I put some spare type r syncros in my ys1 when it was apart for the diff install. did you make sure the repair shop shimmed the new diff properly? this is VERY important! also did you swap to the newer style one piece ball bearing diff bearings or did you use the old style roller bearing with a bearing and race? it is much harder to shim those properly.
