Default My exciting weekend. R content inside.

First off, my pictures suck.

Last cruise-in of the year at a local shop so I went out there and saw something you guys might recognize. Been a while since pics of it have been on here. Has a tad over 7k on it now. Forgot the owners name already, but he is the original owner and has never washed or waxed the car since purchasing it. He is registered on ITRCA and I spoke with him for about half an hour about the ITR Expo.

Then I was heading out to Knoxville Sunday night to pickup a cylinder head. I was cruising a little above 80 which put me at 5k. I heard what sounded like a drum roll on a snare, then chunks of metal and a smoke screen.

Picking up a longblock on Friday and will hopefully be heading out to Maryville, TN on Saturday night to help out coolhandluke with his caR.

No clue. From the sound of it, the bearing decided to spin while I was cruising. No indications of any bearing problems before I started on the trip (only made it 107km).

Did you lose anything besides the wall of the block?

Probably. Tearing the block apart this weekend. The rod cap was all I could pull out through the hole, but I felt another part of the rod in there. I know the head is toast which sucks since it was a 70k Z6 head. The header only received a small ding about 1cm in diameter. The was the main thing I was worrying about while coasting to a stop lol.

That's because its a BA header

Again, sorry to hear about your misfortune. Please let me know if I can help in any way (I'm going to PM you with something here in a sec.) I was planning on getting into Maryville Saturday night due to my friend's work schedule. However, i could leave Friday night and meet up with you in JC if you would like any help.

Let me know man.

I'm not sure how to feel about a modded (since tho ODO is no longer matching the caR) 7k caR. It would be soo much more stock, IMO.

Sux bout ur block fina.

my rod and crank went out last week, but not nearly as bad as your ride, it didn't break through the block and it went though, I didn't open the head and block to see the full damage, lucky for me my friend has a brand new ITR block for sell for me, so I'm going to buy it and save the old block for the VIN and etc. Best of luck on the work!
