Default OK SO WHERE DO i STAND THAN ??? (((((D15 BLOCK D16 HEAD))))))

So can I use my old d16 crank with new d16 pistons and d16 connecting rods in this new d15 block? and what do the main bearings have to do with anything? because those aftermarket d15 parts dont have much performance I want to go with d16 internals SO WHERE DO I STAND?????

I couldn't confirm it without facts, but I'm assuming the stroke and rod length are going to be enough to consider valve interference. Try searching for the length of 1.5 rods and 1.6 rods, also the piston height of each.

As far as bearings, you'll need to verify the cranks journal sizes and bearing caps/seats on the block.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific and definitive.

Well does the d16 crank fit for the old d15 because that would solve the stroke problem?

D16 crank will not work in D15 block - different main journal sizes

Are you trying to build a performance d15? What is your goal here?

Exactly why I asked if the OP searched. It only took 5 seconds...

Aside from that, now you only have rod/piston combo to work with. Pretty much a given that all D-Series pistons are interchangeable along with the Vitara piston but again, you have to take into consideration valve interference. Best thing to do is decide what your goals are, pick a piston based on compression ratio preferences, and SEARCH if there are any clearance issues that might occur. If there is and you really want that specific combo, bring the pistons to a machine shop to have the tops notched/shaved as needed.
