what should i do with this? (rear 1/4 rust, and inside wheel well) should be easy :(
i searched around and i only have 1 or 2 more questions to ask.
1. This is inside the wheel and is caused by rubbing from the fat tires (195/55/15) on a 93 hatch. What should i do here to prevent rust from forming? I read quick a bit of threads and they said that they should paint rust bullet on it. But for little spots like this is there an alternate solution?

2. This is the rear quarter panel. I know a lot of people have this problem in this civic. What should i do? Sand it and paint it with rust bullet, then red paint?

help would be very very appreciated. I am doing crazy amount of HWK in school but i want to fix all rust and prevent it because winters is in the corner.

That little spot on the quarter panel looks exactly like what I had. I sanded the area with 80 grit and used rust inhibitor that I got from my local pepboys or autozone. The inhibitor product I used turned the remaining rust into black primer and then I put some touch up paint over the primer after it dried. It will slow down any rust from forming but after the winter you may have to redo the process because the rust may start to poke through in places that you didn't coat like behind the quarter where you cannot see.
Whatever you do, try to take care of it asap. The sooner the better. As for that spot inside your wheel well, use some undercoating and raise your car up a little.

dont forget, the rust you see is only half the damage, there is probably alot more that you cant see. Think of it like cancer, If you dont cut it all out, it will keep spreading. I have the same problem, and am trying to save enough money to have a body shop cut it all out, and replace it with some new metal. Cut it out, replace it, and get some rust prevention stuff.
