I have the opportunity to purchase a new 2006 S2000. There are 2 available at the dealership. These cars have just been sitting on the lot and have not been sold yet. Is there any negatives to buying a car that has just sat around? The plus is that they are willing to deal bigtime to make them go away. The minus is that your *new* car is really 2 years old as 08's will be here before long.

 

I wouldnt worry about any issue's. Plenty of people put thier S2k's away for the winter. I did it plenty of time's when I had to deploy. Plus, if you do come across any problem's, you have a warranty.

from what i heard the 04,05 are the fastest ap2
i have 06 and dyno isnt as high as the 04,05 due to drive by wire i think.

 

Does DBW really effect RWHP? I thought it was just throttle response.

And from what Ive read, its the other way around. The 06-up actually dyno a little bit more. ?shrug?
