What gauges of wire are on the stock '99 Civic Si POSITIVE battery terminal?
I searched and searched, but couldn't find the answer. I'm not looking to relocate the battery, but I just want to replace the positive terminal and use the existing wires. The terminal I want to buy has 8 gauge screw outputs, and I was curious if this would be enough. Thanks for the help!
Yea probably 6ga.
Where are you going to relocate the batt. to, and why.
You do know Honda put the batt. there because it is the best place for it, right?
If you insist on moving it, keep in mind the longer the cable is, the bigger it needs to be to be able to deliver the same amount of current to any of the loads, starter motor being at the top of that list.

That's OK. It's sort of for looks. I'm upgrading my grounds. It's not one of those ricer kits. I bought a plain silver negative terminal with wire and everything to do it myself, and thought it will look stupid next to the stock positive terminal. The only positive terminals I can find on Ebay are either huge and blocky with a shiny finish, or this one:

It has 2 8 gauge holes, but I really don't want to use ring terminals. I'll keep looking. Thanks for letting me know what gauge wire it is.
