I'm in the market for an EK hatch, or EM1 Si.

(just to point out, 1996-2000)


Anyway, I've been looking at a couple of red EK hatches, and I was wondering if any of these civics came with black interior? In the 92-95 civics, you can get grey or black interior, but all I can see with the newer ones is grey.

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light. I've been looking at pics all day long, and I can't really tell if the 99-00 Si's have black interior, or at least "more black" than the EK hatches.

Any help guys?

From what I can tell from pictures scoured on the net, there is no "black" interior, but the Si's do have a darker "grey"


Anyway, if that's the case, could someone let me know? Also, would the exterior color of the car determine the interior, like on the 5th gens? I'm looking at a M. Red EK hatch, but the interior looks really light grey and ghey. I'm pretty picky about this stuff, so if I could only get the darker interior out of the Si, then I guess an Si is what I need to buy.

and the red hatch I'm looking at getting is a '99 DX. It looks like it has the "light" grey interior. I'm thinking that the only way to get the darker interior is that you HAVE to get the Si.

The interior color you want is Type K. I believe it was available for coupes, it was the only color for hatches, and the only color for si's...so the si is not the only car that came with that interior color. The U.S. did not get a black interior...The civic type r and maybe some others got that luxury .

civic comes with Dark interior or Light interior. should say right by the door as you open it.

 

'98 to '00 Civic hatchbacks in the US all had dark gray (Type K) interiors just like all of the '99-'00 Civic Si coupes.
