16 valve d15 b8
So I have a question. I posted earlier about my cousin buying a turbo crx for $150. I know the d15 b8 is from a 92-95 cx and is 8 valve but it's a different head and its 16 valve, any numbers I can check or anything or is there a popular swap for the d15b8? Thanks, oh and the car missing A LOT of crap. If anybody has any pictures from a turbo crx than it would be very helpful.

Not to confuse you even more, but it looks like the older D-Series valve covers are interchangeable (with the exception of the D16Z6) meaning it could just have the valve cover that says 16 valve on it. Simple way to check, pull the valve cover and look at the cam/valves. Another thing, up to a certain year (I don't know which year) the 8 valve motors had specific pistons that had the valve reliefs cut for only 2 valves per cylinder. After that said year, they came with normal 16 valve pistons (I read that somewhere on this before, could be vice versa).

My HF has a 16 valve cover on it right now actually.
