Default 5 point harness on Recaro srd's?

I have Recaro srds and takata 4 points in my car now. It came that way. I was reading about how they do more bad then good in a wreck. Making them a five point harness with a crotch strap would make them safer right? Is there a way to mount a crotch strap on Recaro SRD's?

TIA

IIRC, the SRDs are not meant for 5 pt harnesses. I think your best option is:

1) run stock seatbelts; or
2) ditch the 4pt harness and get a 4pt harness that's designed to work with your Recaro seat such as made by Schroth (http://www.hmsmotorsports.com)

There are Recaro SRDs that are compatible with a five point harness: http://www.paragon-products.co...5.htm

Not sure what you can do with an existing four point. Give Recaro a call.
